Does supermummy exist?

Supermummy is a Myth

SupermummyMums today seem to want everything but can they really be all things to all people?

Mel McGee, founder of the website Supermummy believes she does have it all but not in the normal sense

She said: “I’m behind this mumpreneaur movement where we’re clawing back a new way to have it all so we are still able to use our skills and knowledge but in a different way which makes us more available to the family.

Mel is mum to three children and has been a full-time working Mum and a stay-at-home Mum. After her first daughter she had the stressed out, corporate Mum role and told us: “At that time I did feel like I wasn’t in control and I wasn’t feeling like motherhood had changed my life for the better at that stage because of all this juggling and exhaustion. I now feel I am a stronger and more capable person for being a Mum.”

However, no matter how much Mums complain, Mel still believes we have it easier than those rearing children 50 years ago.

She went on to say: “The rules seem to have changed now about what our expectations are and what we want out of life. I think a lot of Mums will agree that the children are their ultimate and biggest achievement in their life.”

Mel message to Mums looking to set-up on their own is simple, if you have a good idea for a business then put it into practice and go for it!
