Breastfeeding advice
Sharon Trotter is a housewife, midwife and mother of five. She has worked in the NHS for many years and felt the information for mothers on breastfeeding was often bewildering, and so decided to write her own book on the subject.
She trained as a nurse in 1979 and then moved to London to complete her midwifery training in 1983 and following her marriage to Aidan in 1985 they moved to Scotland where Sharon has worked at the local maternity unit for almost 20 years, in between raising their 4 children Sharon claims her mission is “To educate and inform parents and professionals about best practice in breastfeeding, neonatal skincare/cordcare and other related midwifery subjects.”
Her book “Breastfeeding - The Essential Guide” is currently listed as one of the top 10 best selling breastfeeding books on AMAZON, Sharon also writes material for the breastfeeding centre of excellence.
